Bleep Test?

Im a little confused! Website says that Chester Step Test is used for the medical, but keep reading comments about the Shuttle Run/bleep test. Im applying to Northumbria - does anyone know which test they are using? thanks!

I think all FRS use the step test but if you read some previous posts, it's a bit hit and miss, as it was for me. The bleep test is a much better fitness gauge.

Hi Laura, Welcome to the forum Are you applying or thinking of applying for the fire service? As far as I know most brigades use the step test. A few people have just gone through the recruitment process so maybe they can tell us more.
