It's a Leyland Jimbo but not as we know it (sang in a Star Trecking sort of way) . It could be anything lurking under the bonnet of this beast of burden. The cab looks the same almost as the "T" Terberg, TATA ? in the 4th picture
today i have been mostly eating cabbage

They are Recovery vehicles but not for the fire appliances, they attend RTC's along with pump and ET, once casualties are removed etc these vehicles are used to clear the road, all they do thou is just tow the cars to the side of the road no more than that, I expect they prob get used for other things but what I have no idea, OIC's english wasn't really that good, (the sort you get from a call handler  when you phone BT)

Fantastic pics there Chris, thanks for taking the time to post them. I like how they are called a fire force not a fice service  pumps look in very good condition, looks like they get plenty of TLC. intersting to know they just park them under a "car port" type of construction

Update of the Goa State Fire Force. Been doing some research on them and for anyone interested, the Fire brigade in Goa was formed in 1984 after a heads a state meeting in Goa, before that it was made up of police officers and military personnel with yes Buckets, although the over all number of shouts over there are few and far between the fire death and RTC deaths rates are very high. I will be back over there for the next three weeks (Leaving on Sunday) so hope to visit all 12 stations and complete the photo's of all there fire kits.

Some PPE shots from the GOA State Fire Force, althought I think the guy in BA may need a little more PPE, These photo's of how they actually fight the fire's, so the BA guy is IN his fire kit. What we call fire kit ie the black jacket and leggins are what they wear during the rainy season.
